Alternative cleaning and cutting techniqueusing water

Woma GmbH, 47226 Duisburg, Germany

Most people associate the notion of cleaning or cutting concrete, steel or other building materials with dust, noise and vibration. The high pressure water jet technique offers an alternative solution for cutting building materials or cleaning concrete surfaces. With extremely high pressures and the partial addition of small abrasive particles, it is possible to clean, erode or even cut open concrete surfaces. Even steel can be cut using this technique.

and with complete solutions, for example
for large-scale renovation measures.
Cutting technology
Woma is a pioneer in the field of cutting
technology using high pressure water jets.
The company relies here on the use of fine
solid particles in different granulations and
materials, which form an extremely effec -
tive cutting tool in combination with the
ultra-high pressure technique. The advantages
of this method are, among other
things, the flexibility and the low weight of
the cutting tools, the minimum development
of vibrations, the avoidance of dust emissions
and the possibility to use the method
under water. These technical process characteristics
predestine the abrasive high
pressure water jet cutting method for use in
residential areas and in vibration-sensitive
buildings such as computing centres.
In the field of high pressure water jet technology,
Woma offers innovative and efficient
solutions for the cleaning and preparation
of concrete surfaces, as well as for
cutting various building materials.
