The family-owned company Superbet from Łosice is a renowned manufacturer of concrete goods in Poland. Apart from producing smallformat concrete elements, the company, founded in 1983, mainly concentrates on the production of high-quality concrete paving stones. Extensive modernisation measures were carried out in 2009 at Superbet, with assistance from the EU support programme. The aim was to further increase the company’s technological and production level, in order to retain its competitiveness on the Polish market on the one hand, and to open up new markets in the Eastern European region on the other hand. The modernisation entailed investment in a completely new concrete paving stone manufacturing plant. After the management of Superbet had concerned itself in detail with the range of production lines for such products that were available, and analyzed this range, taking into account the company’s needs and wishes, the decision ultimately fell in favour of an OMAG-Tronic 140/120 plant made by Besser GmbH of Emden in Germany. With this new plant, which is also equipped with a Feeria Color system, Superbet manufactures a newly developed concrete paving stone with a natural stone look, which is sold very successfully under the name of Kalcyt.
