The Institut für Bauverfahrens- und Umwelttechnik (IBU) is a self-contained, independent research and development institute, which arose from a former research and transfer department founded in 1986 at the Higher Technical College in Trier. The IBU, under the leadership of Mr Beitzel, has an ideal infrastructure in cooperation with the Zentrum für Innovation und Weiterbildung e. V. (ZIW). As a result, experimental investigations can be performed in order to solve complex problems in both applied research and practice. The IBU’s research work is essentially distinguished by high continuity and pronounced innovative force. Building on relationships with clients and partners that have grown over a period of many years, further partnerships are constantly being established due to the successful research and development work. The respective topics being handled are thereby aligned to current social, building industry and environmental requirements.
