RAMPF, the mould manufacturer, has made another significant step forwards into the future. Numerous guests from the political and scientific worlds came together for a ceremonial act on 16th March to celebrate the occasion. Federal minister Dr. Annette Schavan inaugurated the new hardening centre for coating steel moulds for the concrete block industry in the Allmendingen production facilities. After research and development work lasting many years in conjunction with various partners, RAMPF has succeeded in developing a procedure which generates a remarkable increase in the resistance to wear of steel moulds. The new hardening centre was brought into being with a total investment volume in the region of € 4.7 million.
