Introduction of the hydraulic extruder

Hollow core slabs are designed to make maximum use of the compressive strength of concrete while reducing weight to depth ratio by the creation of voids in a rectangular cross section of varying heights. Many and varied technologies have been used for hollow core slab production over the years among which have been mobile and fixed extruders, slip formers, moulding machines, inflatable void formers, frame/sliding tubes and extractable void formers. Plan srl now introduces a new concept: the hydraulic extruder.
