The renaissance of the exposed-concrete construction method in architecture and the demand for lightweight and filigree but load-bearing designs are the reason for the current increased demand for thin-walled facade elements made from textile- reinforced concrete. Design and execution are described with reference to the 2002/03 "Haus Rheinlanddamm" construction project in Dortmund, Germany.
