Hardening of concrete with two cements


Better control of early strength with nonlinear dynamic models

 


Precast concrete plants would like to have a better control over the hardening rates of concrete. It is not easy to predict the compressive strength at a given time for different amounts of cement, water, plasticisers or other admixtures in addition to the aggregate mix. It becomes even more complicated when a mixture of rapid cement and normal portland cement is used to shorten the time for release.
