At the end of 2011, Bonyan, a company from Kuwait, took contact with Contec e.K. from Aarbergen, Germany, with the idea to purchase a fully automated, universal block manufacturing plant for producing concrete paving blocks, kerbstones, hollow blocks and a variety of other products. After inspecting a number of block manufacturing facilities together, the decision was taken for a used Schlosser SV 30 block making plant with Rotho curing racks. The main challenge was to fit the machinery into the existing, very small plot of land. This required a major replanning and adaptation of the plant, which was carried out in close cooperation between Bonyan and Contec.
