To meet a tight time schedule, Doha Port Authority had imposed a guideline of 2500 sqm per day in a 24-hours shift upon his contractor. Until the end of 2004 this vast area of 220,000 sqm was within 5 months mechanically paved with concrete blocks 20x10x12 in herringbone design. Two Optimas H 77 Comfort laying machines and an Optimas screed system were deployed to guaranty this performance.
