Trade Journals for the Concrete Industry

In this article, the authors describe a roadmap which employs a holistic approach to transform attitudes and practice throughout the industry. The disconnections within the complex global network of international, regional and national concrete related organizations can be reduced considerably with an approach which targets the strengthening of links between those who can enable the implementation of sustainability “Sustainability Enablers” at the individual, corporate and sector levels of action throughout the industry. The article also charts progress made by the precast and concrete industry in the UK in the last decade, focusing on how the industry is responding to changes in political and economic policy in the UK (driven by climate change, resource efficiency and health and safety in the workplace).
