In 1969 the SAO Narostroj-1 company started up a concrete plant in Narofominsk (Moscow region) for the production of structural precast elements and prefabricated houses. The company had specialised in one type of house and had produced it for many years in high numbers. However, interest in this series had declined dramatically since the beginning of the 1990s. The production output in the works dropped off dramatically and alternative products were sought. A completely new type of house that could meet the changed demands appeared to be very promising. The house concerned is 19 m wide, considerably wider than the original standard houses (12 m). The company found its way back to winning ways with this change of production. In order to be able to operate even more efficiently and thus more economically, SAO Narostroj-1 decided to modernise the existing mixing tower plant in order to supply the precast element production with high-quality concretes and the existing fleet of truck mixers with ready-mix concrete. SAO Narostroj-1 had the German mixer specialist Teka at its side as a strong partner for this project.
