The new Knight Transportation project in Las Vegas, Nevada earned kudos from both the Concrete Masonry Association of California and Nevada (CMACN) and the Cemex employees that produced the concrete masonry units used to construct the facility. CMACN showcased the project in their Profiles in Architecture April newsletter and will be honoring it at their annual awards banquet being held later this year. A very proud Chris Hill, Cemex’s Operations Manager-Masonry, Nevada Division-Pacific Region, took his staff on a field trip to visit the award winning structure that houses the large trucking company. Both the employees and the project owner appreciated the visit. Thrilled to meet the crew responsible for producing the block, the owner of the project took them on an in-depth tour of the entire facility.
