...extensive modernisation Meudt concrete products - that is more than concrete quality in the normal sense. Beyond the requirements of the current standards, Meudt assures the higher Meudt eFT quality standard for concrete-smooth surfaces of pavers and kerbstones. What leaves Meudt’s plant is the consistent implementation of the principle ‘from nature, for nature’. Meudt processes exclusively the purest natural materials. Sand, fine basalt flint, Portland cement and water form the basis. For the surface finishing, too, only natural stone additions of very high quality are used. High quality iron-oxide-based dyes are used for coloured concrete products. In order to ensure the quality and quantity of the concrete products on a long-term basis, the traditional company decided last year on an extensive modernisation of the production. Apart from the replacement of one of the two concrete block making machines by a Frima HP1000, the extensive modernisation of the mixing plant was also at the centre of attention. The contract for this part of the plant moderni- sation was awarded to Teka Maschinenbau GmbH from Edenkoben in Rheinland-Palatinate, which was commissioned with the planning, delivery, installation and commissioning of the modernisation. An important criterion for the decision was the new Teka high-performance turbine mixer series.
