In planning the exhibition for the sanitary outfitter Roca, the planners from the well-known London consultancy Zaha Hadid Architects were inspired by the flowing movements of water. The result was an architecture characterised by highly demanding organic forms that was to be built in concrete. However, the architects encountered difficulties in implementing their plans. Most of the companies that were to be commissioned with the construction declined on the grounds that the structure was ‘not buildable’. Only B & T Bau & Technologie GmbH from Raubling, Bavaria, accepted the challenge.
