Preparing to build Bismayah, a new city project in Iraq

Technological excellence, experience and speed were the vital ingredients for Elematic to successfully design and deliver the world’s biggest precast concrete plant for Hanwha E&C’s project to build Bismayah – the “Dream City” – in Iraq. In studying the options to rapidly, accurately and efficiently build the new city of Bismayah for 600,000 people on the outskirts of Baghdad, Hanwha Engineering & Construction (E&C) recognised that the huge task would call for the greatest industrial-scale use of precast concrete in the world. To fulfil that need, the Korean major contractor began discussions with Elematic, a global precast production equipment leader to secure the expert support necessary to help meet the world class challenge.
