Innovative lifting system

The Obelix lifting anchor is an innovative system that enables the safe and cost-efficient lifting and handling of reinforced-concrete elements. The reusable Obelix lifting clutch is designed for use by insertion into an under-cut lifting void which is formed by casting an Obelix void former into the concrete element or for application into cured concrete the lifting void is formed by under-cutting a diamond cored void with the Obelix under-cutting tool. When engaged the mechanical fingers on the lifting clutch wedge against the concrete at the base of the void enabling the load to be distributed over a wide area of concrete. The Obelix lifting anchor system enables precast reinforced-concrete components to be handled safely and economically using existing rigging and lifting equipment.
