Not only Brazil, but also Argentina, Uruguay and several other Latin American countries are currently experiencing constantly very positive growth rates, especially in the construction industry. The 2014 World Cup, 2016 Olympics, government projects for housing and infrastructure are the key drivers for the precast industry. Precast elements have been seen for many years in Brazil as essential components in projects needing sustainable engineering that can be rapidly built. After 15% growth in 2011, expected growth rates of the precast industry for 2012 are even bigger.
