To increase the use of slag in the concrete industry, Ecocem France has developed an activated slag called “Ecocem R+”. The aim of this research, conducted by Cerib, is to study the impact of the activated slag on concrete masonry blocks and in particular to check the behavior of concrete at low temperature. At first, a preliminary study was conducted on samples followed by a test campaign on masonry blocks manufactured using an industrial press. Other experiments studying the phenomena of efflorescence when using this activated slag were conducted.
