L and Z brackets generate best load-bearingcapacities as punching shear reinforcement

A Report in Practice

The load-bearing capacity of floors with concentrated loads above supports and walls must be safeguarded against punching shear. For this purpose, lattice girders or double-headed studs can also be built into the punching shear area, besides the punching shear reinforcement stipulated in national standards. These systems have to be produced for each individual floor height. In the following report, a description is made of practical experience with the newly developed Clixs punching shear reinforcement system and its technical background. Cost-effectiveness was a major guiding factor in the Clixs system’s development. This has given rise to flexible systems with greater load-bearing capacities than double-headed studs.
