India is updating its infrastructure at an accelerated pace with the construction of roads, airports, railway lines etc.. Another part of this ambitious effort is the creation of new industrial townships. One of these townships is located in the so-called Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) at Shenda in the Maharashtra State. It concerns a Japanese funded project where the main contractor is the prestigious firm Shapoorji Pallonji Company Limited (SPCPL).
