Automation yields greater productivity in precast production facilities

Franz Filzmoser developed automated reinforcing machines for precast production facilities in the 1980s. Since this time, distributing rebars with robots and manufacturing reinforcements fully automatically have become standard in the industry. In 2008, Franz Filzmoser founded GMS GmbH. His company has focussed on precast concrete facilities as well as bending operations and has built up, amongst other things, the PreQast brand name for automated reinforcement manufacturing.
