Becoming a frontrunner in closed material loops in precast factories has not been fast nor easy. VBI started recycling slurry water already 30 years ago. William den Engelsman, Head of Production Process Development at VBI, says the kick for recycling came from the governments. Regulations for waste water were tightened and new solutions were needed to protect the environment.
