The use of recycled concrete aggregate (RCA) in the pro- duction of new concrete presents a way to improve material efficiency in the construction industry while reducing the volume of waste associated with the industry. This paper presents an overview of the literature published on the production and properties of RCA as well as the properties of concrete produced, with a specific focus of fine RCA which, unlike the coarse fraction, cannot currently be used in engineering practice.
