Automated bar bending

Automated double bending machines for bending concrete reinforcing steel bars have meanwhile been a standard feature in many facilities for more than 20 years. Pedax has given the Permatic double bending machine a thorough upgrading and launched some excellent new models. As a general rule, a double bending machine is composed of a material feed path, two bending systems – one stationary and the other mobile, a bar positioning system, guide elements which support the bars during the automatic bending process, plus, of course, a control unit. The operational principle is simple. Without any appreciable expenditure of force, the bars are pre-sorted and conveyed to the bending tools. The automated process is initiated at this point and the bent, finished shapes deposited in collection boxes.
