Whether cleaning recycled glass blasting media, silica or facia dust, foundry sand, or if the application requires media separation and reclaim, Vac-U-Max central vacuum cleaning systems provide high-efficiency filtration from handfuls to 5 tons per hour, reducing manual clean-up, improving working conditions, and maximizing plant safety for OSHA-compliance. Systems are designed per application parameters factoring the bulk density of the material, material characteristics such as abrasiveness or hazardous respirable silica dust, the number of simultaneous continuous connections, and the volume of material to be collected.
For applications requiring screening for reclaim and return to silo, screen mesh size and proper sizing of the vacuum producer are factored. Re-usable media is pressure conveyed to silos for reuse. Positive-displacement vacuum pumps for high-density materials and high volume move debris over long distances and secondary HEPA-safety filters assure clean air exhaust with all servicing done from ground level. Depending on application, designs include top-load filter housing with swing-away cover eliminating confined space issues. Pulse filter cleaning reduces manual cleaning. Additionally, Vac-U-Max designs and engineers the service platform for top-load filter separators with swing-away cover and includes safety ladder with cage and upper safety gate, kickplates and round pipe handrails. Collection options include silos, bulk bags, forkliftable hoppers and drums, or discharging back onto customer’s conveyor belts.
