After the successful events in Austria (Vienna) and China (Beijing), this year's Engineering Days took place on the 26th and 27th of November 2019 in the CongressHaus Salzburg. More than 500 precast concrete experts from 22 countries had the chance to inform themselves about the latest trends in the industry. The focus of this year's Engineering Days was "Digitization as a benefit for the precast concrete industry". The program included 22 compact lectures, 19 workshops and plenty of time for networking and expert talk. All lectures were translated simultaneously into English, Russian and Mandarin.

In terms of content, the spectrum ranged from tangible subjects such as the dimensioning of sandwich walls, to innovative 3D printed formwork systems, to more visionary topics such as Artificial Intelligence.
At the exhibition area, 40 of the leading precast concrete companies presented their solutions. The list of exhibitors included companies in the areas of plant construction, automation technology, CAD and ERP systems as well as ancillary trades.

The catering was delivered by the neighboring 5 star hotel Sheraton Grand Salzburg. The Viennese cabaret group maschek as well as the musicians and Austrian Show Award winners of Rondo Vienna provided evening entertainment. For the gala dinner, the Hotel Imlauer Pitter served an excellent multi-course meal.

The next Engineering Days will take place from the 30th November until the 1st December 2021 in the CongressHaus Salzburg. The Engineering Days have been organized every two years since 2007 by Precast Software Engineering, Prilhofer Consulting and RIB SAA Software Engineering. The Engineering Days are a discussion platform between precast concrete factories and the technological leaders in the industry.
