Management succession was already a focal topic of the SySpro Quality Group general meeting in 2020. The chairman of the board, Norbert Brünemann, managing director of RAGA-NO Betonfertigteile, Recycling & Baustoffhandel GmbH & Co. KG, was able to report to the members at that time that the search for a successor had been successfully completed. It means that all the prerequisites for a smooth handover and the ongoing development of the association are in place.

After more than 25 years as managing director of SySpro Quality Group (SySpro-Gruppe Betonbauteile e.V.), Dr.-Eng. Herbert Kahmer will cease his activities for reasons of age in the course of 2021. However, even after his retirement, he will still be available with his internationally active consulting company and many years of expertise in the entire industry.

Dr.-Eng. Thomas Kranzler has already been strengthening the management of SySpro-Gruppe Betonbauteile e.V. since 1st August 2020. He will soon assume sole responsibility for implementing the interests of the Quality Group in the development, production and marketing of construction systems.

The 45-year-old civil engineer, who holds a doctorate, possesses many years of acquaintanceship with the national and European association sector in addition to his experience as a structural engineer and construction manager. Most recently, he represented the Federal Association of Lightweight Concrete (Bundesverband Leichtbeton e.V. Neuwied), as technical managing director. Prior to that, he headed the standardisation and application technology department of Federal Association of the German Brick and Tile Industry (Bundesverband der Deutschen Ziegelindustrie e.V.) in Bonn.

Responsibilities and prospects

“SySpro-Gruppe Betonbauteile offers me an attractive field of work with very great prospects. I look forward to the challenge of further developing the SySpro group with my own signature in the interests of its members. Alongside the development and implementation of technical innovations, my main focus will be on bringing the SySpro quality brand even more into the focus of architects and planners with regard to energy-efficient construction. In addition to this, my other main concern will be to strengthen the technical and political representation of members' interests,” emphasises Kranzler.

Along with the change in management, the SySpro-Gruppe Betonbauteile e.V. office will be relocated to the city of Bonn in 2021.
