Developed in collaboration between the Lightweight Structures in Civil Engineering Research Group at TU Chemnitz, Medicke GmbH, the Steinbeis Innovation Centre Fiber- Crete, and the City of Chemnitz, this distinctive and sustainable piece of urban furniture was created as part of the Cultural Capital 2025 initiative. The structure consists of a C-shaped carbon concrete shell mounted on a trapezoidal concrete base. The seating surfaces can be fitted with ergonomically shaped wooden slats, enhancing user comfort.
