The fifth Erbil International Fair 2009 took place in mid-October 2009 in Erbil, the capital of the autonomous province of Kurdistan in Iraq. Over 73,000 visitors came to the trade fair, of which more than 30% were business professionals. The trade fair, which has been held annually in Erbil since 2005, confirms the increasing presence of Kurdistan as a strategic business and trade centre in the region.
