The industrial mutual accident insurance association for the raw materials and chemical industries (BG RCI) celebrated its annual awardgiving ceremony on 1st April 2011 in Kassel, Germany. For their submission “Producing concrete test specimens vibration-free and with low noise”, Werner Rohrmoser and Armin Engelberger from Holcim Kies und Beton GmbH were presented with the Work – Safety – Health sponsored award in the “Health Protection” category. The prize - endowed with € 10,000 - was awarded for their idea of producing test specimens and measurement samples on traditional vibration tables at a substantially reduced noise level, completely avoiding any hand/arm vibrations and concurrently improving the related ergonomic working posture in a marked manner.
