Online measurement methods, which measure the moisture content of materials in continuous production processes, are an important constituent part of modern process technology. Increasing importance is now also being given to long-term measurement methods that can measure the moisture content in solids, for example in structures that already exist. However, since the task is completely different to that of online measurement in terms of the metrology involved, a fundamentally new development of a suitable microwave moisture measurement method is required.
