IranConMin, the 2006 international trade fair for construction, mining and natural stone, was held under unfavourable auspices with regard to foreign affairs. This had a negative influence on the participation of foreign, and especially of German, businesses. In comparison with 2004, the number of foreign exhibitors sank from 122 to 95. On the other hand, Iranian firms manifested growing interest in the international construction trade fair so that the total number of participants in fact rose from 324 (2004) to 344.
