The Fifth North American Conference on the Design and Use of Self-Consolidating Concrete (SCC2013) has received over 170 abstracts. These abstracts were submitted by diligent researchers, practitioners, and world-renowned experts from 30 countries. They cover topics including SCC materials (powders, nano-particles, aggregates, and admixtures), design methodology (mix and structural design), production (rheology/workability and formwork pressure), quality control (methods, procedures, and specifications), and property and performance eval- uation (experimentation, monitoring, and modeling). The conference will provide a unique platform for the fruitful exchange of information among attendees.
