The European technical approval was awarded after punching shear testing had been carried out on the advanced FDB II punching shear reinforcement. Deutsche Institut für Bautechnik granted the ETA-13/0521 for these special lattice girders, confirming an increase by more than double in punching shear resistance in comparison with flat floor slabs unreinforced for shear.
