Fixing braces to double wall elements can now be carried out in a simple, technically qualified way

Special attention must be paid to the sequence of construction work and the safety of employees when assembling precast on site. During this component assembly work, braces are employed that are fixed both to the base and to the precast component itself. They have to be able to safely absorb the action of wind, for example, during the entire assembly time. Concrete bolts with building authority approval are nowadays mostly utilised for anchoring braces in a base. However, up to the present time, there has been no product with official approval available for anchoring braces into precast – particularly for double wall elements with very thin shells of 50 mm or less – that has been able to absorb the actions of the loads occurring at the height needed and with the relevant safety margins. The Pfeifer MoFi 16 brace anchor has been specifically developed for this application as a means of fixing braces and possesses corresponding building authority approval.
