Rekers Betonwerk GmbH & Co KG, headquartered in Spelle, is one of the leading manufacturers of precast concrete elements and concrete products in Germany. In order to meet the increasing demands for efficiency, process reliability and digitalisation, the block making machine, which has been in use in three-shift operation since 2001, was replaced by a state-of-the-art system from the neighbouring company Rekers Maschinen- und Anlagenbau as part of this year's winter overhaul. The replacement was carried out with very little loss of production and was precisely tailored to the existing structural conditions. The new Rekers KRS 4 enables energy-efficient production and covers a wide range of products with heights from 40 to 500 mm – from paving stones and kerbstones to large-format concrete slabs. Production takes place on proven Wasa plastic production boards measuring 1,450 x 1,100 mm.
