In recent years, building bridges and viaducts with precast beams has become an increasingly popular option in Latin America. The versatility of this construction method allows for its implementation in major road infrastructure projects. The reduced construction time and the on-site fabrication of the beams eliminate high transportation costs. These factors were decisive when Ministries of Public Works had to choose how to construct these types of projects.
