Concrete residue tends to deposit inside the drums of truck mixers and this then remains attached to the walls and the internal mixing devic es. In order to remove this residue it is necessary to enter inside the drum for the performance of extraordinary maintenance activities, which are often carried out, by manual or mechanical means, by the operator himself. The work inside the drum (which is normally carried out to reinstate the spiral blades) is a very dangerous and awkward operation. It is carried out in a tiny space with the possible formation of dust and the risk of being struck by fragments detaching from the walls.
