When the work on the Port of Miami tunnel began in 2010, many challenges were faced including diverting traffic, the effort to dig two tunnels to connect Watson Island and Dodge Island, and the location of a unique work site under Interstate 395. BMH Systems of Montreal was awarded the mandate to design, build and install a portable concrete plant to fit into the worksite under the highway within a tight schedule.
