MBI Beton is one of the top providers of concrete products for garden and landscape construction in the Netherlands. After the fusion with Holcim Betonproducten in 2011, the new company re-positioned itself on the market under the name MBI-Group. Due to the merger, the MBI- Group now has a total of five production sites in the Netherlands, where a wide range of products is manufactured. The main customers are in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Contrary to the current situation in the Netherlands, which is deemed to be difficult for manufac- turers of concrete products, the MBI-Group fortunately has a continuously high demand for its products. In order to increase production capacities even further, MBI implemented a by no means everyday project at its Veghel plant. In line with the design specifications of MBI technicians, the company had a new concrete block line being built, for which numerous domestic and foreign companies produced and delivered the corresponding components. The special feature of the system is that production is performed simultaneously with two moulds on two production pallets in one cycle. For this, moulds from Kobra Formen GmbH from Lengenfeld, Germany, are used.
