Avoidance of errors in the manufacture of precaststeel reinforced concrete elements

Planning and manufacture of precast elements made of steel reinforced concrete

The production of precast elements made of steel reinforced concrete is accompanied in all factories by typical errors in planning and production, which lead on the one hand to problems when assembling, on the other to discussions between the client and the building company. Although these errors do not occur all too frequently, they often result in complex rework or discounts when billing for performances. The purpose of this article is to illustrate some typical causes of error, based on the author’s many years of personal experience, and possible approaches for their avoidance.
