CPC slabs (carbon prestressed concrete) are thin, load-bearing concrete slabs prestressed with a carbon reinforcement. CPC slabs achieve the same load-bearing capacity as conventional slabs, but are thinner and up to 80% lighter. They are suitable for numerous applications in building, landscape construction and furnishings. This new type of concrete slab has been produced in a pilot plant in Switzerland since the beginning of 2016.
