Paving slab producer Elis Pavaje began its activities in 1991 as a small family-owned business running two factories in Stoenesti, Prahova County and in Petresti, Alba County, with a sum total of around 420 employees. The company has recently completed the construction of a production facility in Secuienii Noi, Neamt County in northeastern Romania and expects to start full operations of this new location in May 2018. The project and its corresponding investment aim at meeting the growing demand for precast and at optimizing logistics cost in Romania's historical eastern region of Moldova.
