Recently, Haitsma Beton successfully installed the longest prestressed concrete girders ever produced. The gigantic box girders (68 m long, 240 tons in weight) are being used to span the main section of the new bridge at Zuidhorn. According to Haitsma Beton, who produced and transported the elements themselves, these are the longest prestressed concrete girders in the world.
