The new Viscoprobe, presented by Couvrot, measures the resistance to the movement of a ball shaped probe sunk into concrete and moved at varying speed. The device enables the evaluation of concrete viscosity, i.e. workability and consistency, which is often expressed in term of slump-flow. The technique is in particular applicable to SCC.
