Engineering Days is an established conference, which is seen as a pivotal link between operators of precast facilities and leading suppliers in the industry and is organized every 2 years in Vienna by Nemetschek Engineering (CAD), SAA Software Engineering (automation technol- ogy) and Prilhofer Consulting (consulting). The success of Engineering Days in Vienna and the emerging precast market in the Far East have led the organisers to hold the first ever Engineering Days in Asia, which will take place in the run-up to “bauma Shanghai“. In the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), a partner has been found which has set itself the goal of developing the construction industry in Singapore in order to create a secure, high-quality, sustainable and friendly environment in Singapore. The precast industry also plays an important role in this strategy, and automation is seen as a key instrument to achieve these aims. This makes for an ideal partnership, therefore, to bring expertise from Europe into contact with interested parties in the region.
