The efficient organization of processes and technical requirements in the precast concrete industry requires appropriate planning tools that can be divided into four areas: (1) design, (2) finance, (3) production and (4) resources. While it is usually clear that these IT planning sys- tems are needed in the fields of design (especially CAD), finance (especially financial accounting, cost accounting), production (especially master computers, machine control), standard planning tools are frequently not used in the area of resource planning, but instead attempts are made to carry out these processes using simple means such as spreadsheets and word processors. Data on projects is stored in the file system and offers, order confirmations, delivery notes, etc. are created in word processing programs, and resources are planned with tables developed in-house and updated manually.
