Significant increase in capacities by modernisation of existing precast element production

In summer 2012 the Stuttgart-based construction company Ed. Züblin invested 2 million Euros into the modernisation of its precast plant in Gladbeck. The circulation plant dating from 1995 was extended by additional workstations and the plant control system was brought up to date. These measures were intended to optimise the processes from workstation to workstation. The declared goal was to increase capacities by 30 % as the basis for further growth at the Gladbeck site. After a good year an absolutely positive conclusion can be drawn: the modernisation, which entailed a four-month construction time, has enabled the desired increase in productivity to be permanently achieved for a wide range of products. The new plant components were supplied by the Vollert company, while the Unitechnik company brought the controller of the circulation plant up to date.
