New reinforced concrete/polymer liner pipe for safe, long-lasting wastewater systems

The Finger Group has written its motto “Progress is a tradition for us” on its banner. The newly developed ecoresist liner pipe for safe, long-lasting wastewater systems is further proof of this constant quest for progress. While normal concrete and reinforced concrete pipes ensure the safe transport of rainwater and combined wastewater as well as all domestic wastewater, ecoresist pipes also resist the chemical attack of biogenic sulphuric acid in the sewer atmosphere in addition to these requirements. Together with BFS Betonfertigteilsysteme in Blaubeuren, an inliner press system was developed to manufacture ecoresist and was integrated in the existing concrete pipe production at the Westerburg site. As a complement to existing packerhead production, this robotic pilot plant provides for a cost-efficient manufacturing process for the production of reinforced concrete pipes with polymer liners with immediate demoulding. The ecoresist pipe for which Finger and BFS own patent protection has been extensively tested and meets all requirements for the operator in respect of maximum dimensional stability and corrosion resistance. Finger and BFS also certify the pipe for a high level of system security, installation safety, operating reliability and long-term safety.
