Beyer Betonwaren GmbH taps new markets with high-performance concrete block line

Beyer has stood for continuous, solid growth since its establishment in 1959 and today has around 60 employees. The company rigorously campaigns for the economic and ecological extraction of domestic raw materials and their local processing. Constant investment secures the competitiveness of the family owned company. The concrete block plant, which was erected in the 1980s and was intended for the production of hollow blocks, was virtually gutted and rebuilt this year. Only the drying chambers, the silos and the layer turner on the dry side were retained, otherwise the company invested in a completely new concrete block line. The main supplier of the plant components was Omag Service GmbH from Emden, which supplied a new block making machine as the core component and further extensive plant equipment for the wet and dry sides. The result is a very modern, high-performance concrete block production facility that is allowing Beyer to go onto the market with new products too and to considerably expand its product range, especially in the high-end area.
